Digital Music Player for Young Moderns: müz
 |
The müz is a mood-driven music
player designed for young moderns to use in their entire
house
or apartment.
The design is based on an affect grid, with songs mapped
by mood on the x axis, and energy level on the y axis.
The tangible interface invites interaction, allowing
the user
to request a mix of music that represents a particular
emotional
state by just touching the appropriate area of the
grid.

Transactional Website: The Grapevine
 |
Working in a team of four,
we designed a wine recommendation site targeted
at the college grad new to drinking wine, with little
or no knowlege of the subject. We tried to tap into
the sophistication and "adultness" this target
group may associate with drinking wine, while eliminating
the intimidation factor.

Small Screen Navigation: Café Finder
 |
In a team of two, we designed a cell
phone application that enabled users to quickly find
coffee shops and cafés in their area. We developed
a few different personas,
before settling on Sandy, a visiting nurse. This application
would be especially useful for sales-oriented or traveling
professionals
to narrow down their available options while working
in unfamiliar territories or areas.
